Enter your hourly pay, regular weekly hours, working weeks per year, and overtime hours to calculate an estimated gross salary. This hourly to annual salary calculator can be useful for employees, part-time workers, freelancers, job seekers, and anyone comparing hourly wages with annual income.

How Does Our Salary Calculator Work?
1. Enter Your Hourly Pay
Enter the amount you earn per hour before taxes and other deductions.
2. Enter Weekly Hours
Enter your regular working hours for a typical week. Overtime hours should be entered separately.
3. Select Working Weeks
Enter the number of weeks you expect to work during the year. The calculator allows up to 52 weeks.
4. Add Overtime
Enter overtime hours and select the multiplier you want to use for the estimate.
Salary Calculator Methodology
The calculator starts with your hourly rate and regular weekly hours to estimate regular weekly gross pay. It then adds any overtime earnings entered separately and multiplies the resulting weekly amount by the number of working weeks you select.
The basic calculation is:
Annual Salary = Hourly Rate × Regular Weekly Hours × Working Weeks
If overtime is entered, estimated overtime pay is calculated separately using your hourly rate, overtime hours, and selected overtime multiplier. That overtime amount is then added to regular weekly pay for the annual estimate.
Monthly pay is estimated by dividing annual gross pay by 12. Biweekly pay is estimated by multiplying weekly gross pay by 2. Daily pay represents a regular 8-hour workday and does not include overtime.

How Overtime Affects Salary
Overtime can increase gross earnings above your regular salary. Our calculator lets you enter overtime hours separately and select a multiplier such as 1.5× or 2×.
Overtime eligibility and required overtime rates can depend on federal law, state law, job classification, and employer policies. For information about federal overtime requirements, see the U.S. Department of Labor overtime information .
The calculator does not determine whether a particular employee is legally entitled to overtime pay.
